ROUTES: IN AND AROUND BEND
Twin Bridges Scenic Bikeway. This is THE classic Bend ride, crossing 2 bridges over the Deschutes, although we added a third crossing by taking you back through Tumalo State Park. Goes through the town of Tumalo. Coffee/bakery and lunch options there or bring your lunch and enjoy it along the route.
If you wanted to see Cline falls, you could do an out and back to the Falls at Mile 19 (turn left on Cline Falls Rd), which would add ~15 miles, making this a 47 mile ride.

Mt. Washington Loop. A relatively short ride with a couple of moderate climbs. Give you a chance to see Bend and the surrounding areas. Possible coffee and pastry stop at Mile 10 and coffee and lunch options when you get back into town (on NW Newport Ave).

Cline Falls. An loop to Cline Falls. Goes through the town of Tumalo. Coffee/bakery and lunch options there or bring your lunch and enjoy it at the falls. Covers some of the same ground as the Twin Bridges Ride so you might want to skip this one if you do Twin Bridges.
Mt Bachelor. The next two are route options for another "classic" ride out of Bend. Mt Bachelor. The first is an "out-and-back" called "Bachelor Party." Either bring your lunch and enjoy it on the road or leave early and head back for lunch near Compass Park.
The second option would be to drive to Sunriver (~20 minutes) and do the Bachelor loop. The "clockwise" version is shown here which has a great downhill at the end of the route. Sunriver is a cute town with a nice shopping center with dining for lunch when you return. Longer ride so definitely leave early. Lava Butte is nearby and could be a stop on your way back.
NOTE: A PORTION OF THE 2D+ ROUTE IS STILL CLOSED DUE TO SNOW - IT IS SUPPOSED TO RE-OPEN 5/26.

Bend to Sisters. Another option headed north all the way to Sisters and back through Tumalo. This route has some gravel roads (e.g., Sisemore Rd). Stop in Sisters for lunch or coffee. Gravel roads are rideable.
Tumalo to Sisters with McKenzie Pass. Another classic, the climb up to the top of McKenzie Pass, but starts in Tumalo (15 min drive from Bend) to cut off some mileage. Grab a coffee in Sisters before the climb and lunch there or back in Tumalo (or on the road). Some gravel roads on this one also. Hits the twin bridges on the return of shorten it by staying on Hwy 20 (not as pleasant).
NOTE; THE PASS WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL 6/21. YOU CAN RIDE ABOUT 7 MILES WEST OUT OF SISTERS.

Prineville Reservoir from Redmond. Starting in Redmond (just 20 mins from Bend), the Prineville Reservoir loop take you on more scenic bikeways. Public parking at 8th & Evergreen in Redmond. Grab some coffee at one of several coffee houses in Redmond before you head out on the road. Coffee and lunch options in Prineville also.
